What's Inside
Pure. Recognisable. Intentional.
We use 8 carrier oils and one antioxidant across our entire catalogue. That's it.
Cold-pressed from the kernel of the plum fruit. One of the most lightweight yet deeply nourishing oils available — absorbs quickly without leaving residue. Exceptionally high in oleic acid which helps maintain skin's moisture barrier.
Cold-pressed from the seeds of rose hips. Exceptionally rich in vitamin C, linoleic acid and beta-carotene. One of the most studied oils for fading hyperpigmentation, dark spots and stretch marks over consistent use.
Technically a liquid wax, not an oil — which is why it is so uniquely stable and long-lasting. Chemically similar to human sebum, making it exceptionally compatible with all skin types. Balancing without being heavy.
Pressed from the flesh of avocado fruit. One of the heaviest carrier oils — deeply penetrating, rich in vitamins A, D and E. Exceptional for dry or mature skin and deeply conditioning for hair. Supports collagen synthesis.
Liquid shea — the oil fraction of the shea nut, without the wax. Deeply nourishing and anti-inflammatory. A staple of African skincare traditions for centuries. Absorbs more easily than shea butter while retaining all the skin benefits.
Pressed from sweet almonds. Exceptionally gentle — one of the mildest carrier oils available, making it the first choice for sensitive skin and baby products. Lightweight, softening and packed with vitamin E naturally.
Cold-pressed, pharmaceutical grade (USP). The most viscous oil we use — thick, coating and deeply nourishing for lashes, brows and edges. Rich in ricinoleic acid which has documented anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.
Jojoba oil slow-infused with dried rosemary over several hours. A 2023 study comparing rosemary oil to minoxidil (a pharmaceutical hair growth treatment) found comparable results for hair density after 6 months. The most research-backed natural hair growth ingredient we know of.
A natural antioxidant added to every product at under 3%. Its primary role is to protect the oil from oxidation — extending shelf life naturally without synthetic preservatives. It also delivers skin benefits: healing, softening and protecting against UV-induced oxidative damage.
Our Standards
What we never use.
These are not ingredients we ran out of or couldn't afford. These are deliberate choices — categories of ingredients we have decided have no place in a product meant to nourish your body.
One of the most common skin sensitisers. "Fragrance" on a label can legally hide hundreds of undisclosed chemicals.
Synthetic preservatives linked to hormonal disruption. Our anhydrous formulas don't need them.
A petroleum byproduct that coats skin without nourishing it. Common filler in cheap body oils.
Create a synthetic slip and shine without any actual skin benefit. They wash off — and that's all they do.
No artificial colourants. Our oils are the natural colour of their ingredients — golden, amber, warm.
No water, no glycerin, no emulsifying wax to bulk up the formula. What you pay for is what you get.
Sourcing
Where our ingredients come from.
Our carrier oils are sourced from Jedwards International, a Massachusetts-based wholesale supplier of cosmetic-grade natural oils. Cold-pressed, unrefined where possible, and held to consistent quality standards.
Our Vitamin E is non-GMO mixed tocopherol sourced from Bulk Naturals Wholesale. Our rosemary for The Comeback is cosmetic-grade dried herb sourced from a botanical supplier.
We source locally where we can. We verify quality before it goes in a bottle. And we tell you exactly what's in every product — because you have the right to know.
